It was more challenging than I remembered, so I got tired quite quickly, but it’s still an activity that is absolutely worth it. The organization is excellent: the skates and equipment are very well maintained, and the staff and people around are extremely friendly. The only small downside is that it would be great if they offered hot drinks, especially after skating in the cold. Overall, a highly recommended winter experience. ⛸️❄️”

“Zonder noorderlicht (wat natuurlijk nooit te garanderen is) is deze tocht wat magertjes. Het is vooral een (koude) tocht over het meer in een slee achter een sneeuwscooter gevolgd door een tussenstop in een tipi tent met vuur waarop worstje/soep/brood worden klaargemaakt en waar je de gelegenheid krijgt 2 rendieren te voeren. Daarna nog paar minuten terug met de slee naar de auto die ons terugbracht naar de beginlocatie waar we onze dikke geleende pakken konden inleveren en daarna teruggebracht werden naar ons hotel. Als totaalpakket niet slecht als aanbod, maar in de praktijk zonder noorderlicht heeft het weinig om het lijf.”

“I found the whole experience well-run, professional and very organised. Everyone was efficient. The only unexpected experience occurred at the start of the trip, because we had to change into snowsuits, snow boots and helmets. The ride on the lake was cold and windy, but very atmospheric. The couple that run this tour were great hosts, and the hot berry juice and hot food were appreciated. Mid-way through our meal (cooked by the hostess), we were alerted to go outside, as the host had spotted aurora activity. I highly recommend this trip, and I would definitely book this again, if I ever visit Ivalo again.”

“Deze trip was een complete beleving; alles zat er in; natuur en cultuur. Gids Laurie en z'n vrouw verzorgden ons goed. Vertelden ons vanalles met het enthousiasme alsof ze het voor de eerste keer deden. Wat zeker niet het geval was, te merken aan de soepele manier waarop de trip verliep. We hebben alles bij elkaar een uur op het meer gereden in een grote 10-persoons slee die door Laurie werd getrokken met een snowmobile. We hadden de pech dat er precies boven ons een wolk hing dus konden we Noorderlicht niet zien. Iets later, na het eten, trok de wolk weg en zagen we wel vage strepen. Mooie foto's…”

“This experience was canceled a few hours before I was due to be picked up because of snowy weather. I asked for a reschedule for the next evening . However, even though I was promised a call back to let me know when I would be picked up, I was never contacted. I am deeply disappointed that I wasted time with this company when I could have chosen another more reputable company to view the aurora.”
